This has been one of the most frequently asked questions to AIESEC and AIESECers - and it has been quite the burning issue. Honestly, If I had been investing a good amount of my hard earned money, I surely will ask of its whereabouts!.

Well, not quite literally as shown above. But yes, I will try to enquire the same. So here is the answer to it!!

And the answer is!! Back to you!

AIESEC is one of the biggest not-for-profit organizations worldwide. In this case not-for-profit means that even though there are monetary exchanges between parties, all the funds collected are invested right back into the operations of the organization with the main aim of providing the best experiences to the people who connect with us. You.

Now let’s take a look at the diversification of funds. Though it is a little complicated, let’s take a look at it.

  1. Office Rent.

AIESEC operates as similarly as any other organization, the teams in AIESEC, either locally or globally operate from a formal workplace which requires rent to be paid for service and maintenance.

2. IT Support.

Our operations are majorly based online via our website that is aiesec.org and other social Media Channels. And we constantly keep on developing our platforms in order to ensure smooth work flows, applications and operations.

Whew!! That was a tough one to explain.

Let’s look at some more. Here comes the big one.

3. Membership Training.

We have over 40,000 members across the globe with thousands of people joining us every year. Our members go through several sessions of theory and understanding in order to provide you with the best experience during your exchange journey.

Other channels include IT Support, Legal dispenses, operational processing fees etc. Rest assured, funds invested are monitored carefully as we strongly believe in being sustainable and thus, neither do the funds go to any individual nor do they go to any third party as profits but back to our customers.

Well that’s that. I know it was a little too much to take in at one time. Try taking a few deep breaths (of relief).
